Canoe kayak from Sainte-Enimie to Cirque des Baumes

Enjoy a day filled with canoeing in the most beautiful sites of the Gorges du Tarn.

To start your journey, our shuttle will take you to the departure point of Sainte-Enimie. Take your time to discover this beautiful landscape that surrounds you. After a few paddle shots, you pass Pougnadoires, a troglodyte hamlet.

Some time later you will see the Castle of La Caze, built in the 15th century, it served as a prison during the French revolution and is now a 4 stars hotel. Then you will arrive at the small hamlet of Hauterives, accessible by boat or on foot, an ideal place to picnic. When you leave, you will finally see our mill and its specificity: the passage of the dike, which easily crosses the left side, then you pass under our base Moulin de la Malene, its architecture is sumptuous. You will hear her small hydroelectric plant.

The most hectic part of the Gorges du Tarn is the “Défilé des détroits”. For more than 500 meters you will advance between impressive rock faces. At the exit of this stunning adventure half a kilometer, you pass in front of the small hamlet of La Croze, not to visit it is a private property.

Then you will see the rock of the mushroom, we advise you to pass on the right, an exceptional place waiting for you; The Cirques of the Baumes, and the Sublime Point which is a panoramic site that overlooks the Circus of the balms.

Unique departure at 9.30 am in Sainte-Enimie.

Rowing time indicative of 4 hours 30 mn.
