The 9th edition of the Gourmet Walk of the Mill will be held on Sunday June 21 2026.
She is much more than just a canoe descent : it's a sensory adventure in the great outdoors, between river, land and human encounters. Organized from the start of Mill of the Malene, this unique day combines gourmet walk in Lozère, canoe rental on the Gorges du Tarn, Occitan regional meals, and family activities. You will explore the region's iconic landscapes, alternating between gentle navigation and gourmet breaks : breakfast in Saint-Chély-du-Tarn, aperitif at Chateau de la Caze, lunch in the great outdoors at the mill, and snack at the Cirque des Beaumes.
9 a.m. – Meet at the Moulin de La Malène
Welcome, briefing and equipment. After the distribution of life jackets, waterproof containers and canoes, a shuttle takes you to Saint-Chely-du-Tarn.
Break No. 1 – Breakfast in Saint-Chély-du-Tarn
Even before paddling, enjoy a 100% local breakfast:

🛶 3 km by canoe heading towards the magnificent La Caze Castle

🛶 5 km by canoe until La Malène Mill
🍽️ Break n°3 – Meal at the Moulin de La Malène
Return to the starting point for a gourmet lunch:

– Cheeses from Fédou
– Desserts from the Malénais Oven

🛶 8 km by canoe to digest quietly until arrival at Cirque des Balumes
